What a difference in weather a day can make. Yesterday it was cold & rainy during ParkRun, today sunny, but still cool. Due to celebrating our wedding anniversary with my lovely wife at high tea in the city I was not part of the action today but this doesn’t mean our members’ performances were not recognised. No need to say, Casey Masters was the strongest team with 11 starters.
In the men’s, the Age group 50 & 55 were the strongest with seven starters each. Leslie joined us this year and had his first event in the Casey Masters singlet, and celebrating it with a win in his age group. Congratulations, well done!
Tony, also starting the first time in a Casey singlet, joined his wife Michelle. What I heard, he enjoyed it. Maybe he is hooked and will be seen more frequently. I’m sure everyone gave their best. The final results are on the AV results hub (use the link at the end).
The championship saw three heats, based on the time each athlete nominated in the registration. This helped everyone to be his/her best while not being embarrassed that faster runners would loop them.
I’m sure everyone will have a story to tell in the club room after our regular Monday night training.
